British automaker Aston Martin started making cars in 1913, and since then the brand has become an icon symbolic and synonymous with English luxury, motorsports, and, most famously, James Bond’s go-to getaway vehicle. To celebrate 100 years of car-making, Aston Martin has created a commemorative logo.
The logo debuted on Vantage GT4 of Aston Martin’s CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez, who is an accomplished racer and competes in Germany’s VLN series.
The design is seen on the roof of the car and consists of dots in a spiraled pattern, beginning at the winged Aston Martin logo and ending at a red “100,” which is arranged in a stepped pattern.
The logo was designed by a team led by Marek Recihman, Aston Martin’s director of design, and will be used throughout 2013 at events marking the automaker’s 100th birthday Aston Martin will host a “Centenary Week” and a “Centenary Concours” at its headquarters in Gaydon, England, next year.
