Number-one worldwide auctioneer, Christie’s, is holding an online-only auction celebrating 50 years of James Bond, where bidders will can able to vie for spy memorabilia, including, Haute Auto’s favorite part, the 2008 Aston Martin V12 DBS that appeared in”Quantum of Solace,” featuring Daniel Craig as James Bond.
The majority of the auction celebrating the 50th anniversary of 007 takes place from Sept. 28 to Oct. 8 online, and an additional auction will be held at Christie’s New Kensington. The Aston Martin is expected to sell for between $160,150 and $240,225. The British car manufacturer has been the choice of James Bond in 10 films, dating back to 1964 when a DB5 appeared in “Goldfinger.”
All proceeds from the auction, as well as catalog sales, will go to a total of twelve charitable organizations, including UNICEF and Orbis.
