Since we’re on an electric kick today, what better car could Haute Auto feature than the SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive? When Mercedes officials unveiled this model at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, they dubbed it the ‘world’s most powerful series production electric car’, and it may be one of the most expensive as well. Thanks to Born Rich, we’ve got a peek at the Electric, which will be available starting in June 2013 with a price tag starting at $538,625.

The SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive has a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery which produces a voltage of 400 volts, 60 kWh of power and can charge in just three hours via a special wall box connection with 22kw. That’s in addition to the 4 compact electric motors which combine for an impressive 740horsepower total. The lightweight shell, AMG light-alloy wheels, 5-twin-spoke design, ”AMG magno Electric Beam” matt varnish and AMG ceramic composite brakes are just a few highlights. The Electric Drive will be the most powerful AMG model available from Mercedes-Benz; this vehicle can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
