Most exclusive automakers are willing to bend its model lineup for the appropriate customer—you know, the one with a ton of extra cash and enough love for the brand to pay the massive price it takes to own an exclusive piece of it.
Ferrari is currently building a special one-off model for a Dubai businessman who wanted his car of choice to stand out in even the most wealth-concious city in the world.
The Italian carmaker’s latest special order is named SP Arya, for it’s owner, Cheerag Arya, an Indian-born industrialist whose family runs a successful chemical company. Arya, the avid Ferrari lover, already has a garage filled with them, including an F40, an Enzo and a 599XX that he keeps maintained in Italy.
Paying tribute to his true enthusiasm for everything Ferrari, Arya even had an idea of what he wanted his special order to comprise of. He asked the manufacturers at Ferrari to use the bones of the 599 GTO with the 670-horsepower V12 engine left virtually unchanged). Arya then asked Ferrari’s designers to get creative, and they presented him with 12 different designs—from which he picked out what he liked and compiled her dream Ferrari.
Although no final date has been announced regarding the project’s completion, a clay model of the SP Arya existed as early as March.
