To better compete with the likes of the BMW 3-series and the ever-popular (and getting more popular) luxury SUV market, Jaguar is using its new F-Type as a platform to expand its lineup as it seeks a greater piece of the luxury car market.
Jaguar delivered the highly anticipated F-Type Roadster at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, and the Jaguar brand manager, Adrian Hallmark, described the drop-top and upcoming coupe as, “the core of our range, and from now on it is our starting point.”
Details regarding a production timeframe are yet to be determined.
“Whatever we do will be driven by the three pillars of our brand: innovation, design and performance leadership,” Hallmark said.
