Lamborghini enthusiasts be aware: the Italian luxury sports car maker announced the release of its 2013 Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo, the racer being prepped to race in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo.
The racer is a version of the standard LP570-4 and has been revised for the 2013 season with a new rear wing, new wheel arches and a different livery. Lamborghini didn’t dole out the specifications of its new car, but experts expect it to contain the same 5700-horsepower engine as the standard LP570-4.
In the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo, drivers compete in identical Gallardo race cars. In 2012, a six-race series took place in Europe and Asia, and the Super Trofeo will eventually make its way to North America as well.
