The newest member to the AMG clan and Mercedes-Benz’s competition to the Porsche 911, the Mercedes-Benz SLC might not have the iconic gullwing doors like its brother, the SLS AMG.
Images recently taken of the SLC depict the hardtop to have traditional pillar-mounted hinges instead. A convertible model will follow suit shortly.
Most likely, customers will find a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 under the hood, and an entry model V6 may be added to the mix as well.
But the bodywork shouldn’t yet be taken as what the final product will look like, as it’s merely a shortened cut-and-shut SLS shell version.
