Spotted in testing Nürburgring, Germany: the Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series revealing its more aggressive front end equipped with new air intakes, angled front bumper and additionally, new, fixed wings.
The Black Series is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine, which raises its horsepower to 650. An upgraded seven-speed transaxle fires power into the rear wheels, and chassis changes include a reworked suspension system, lower ride height and wider tracks. The Black Series is also fitted with larger brakes.
And in other Mercedes-Benz news, the German automaker is celebrating the 45th anniversary of the AMG series with a special edition of the SLS AMG GT3 race car, featuring the same matte paint finish featured on the SL65 AMG 45th Anniversary model and a 6.2-litre V8 signed and partially installed by Bernd Schneider, Mercedes’ multiple DTM champion.
