The latest in special editions from Mercedes-Benz will never be seen in the United States.
The SLS AMG Matt Edition was created exclusively for Japan (similar to the Performance Studio Edition C63 AMG Sedan) and is covered in a matte finish on both the coupe and roadster versions.
Although the coupe is limited to a flat white, both styles have contrasting painted details and matte black exhaust tips. All modifications to these special-edition AMGs are only cosmetic.
The matte black roadster boasts a red three-pointed star on its grille and red grille trim. The red theme continues to the fender gills, fuel door and the “6.3” badging, and a red pinstripe around the rim of the wheels ties the details together.
The matte white coupe and roadster are similar, but with black accents instead of red. The black wheels are detailed with a white pinstripe while the interior is based around a black and porcelain scheme.
The only ceramic on the cars is in the optional carbon-ceramic brakes.
