The provisionally named “Ghost Coupe” which has yet to be officially revealed is already promising to be the fastest Rolls Royce ever due to its massive 6.6 liter, 600 horsepower V12 engine. According to sneak peek photos obtained by Autocar, the Ghost Coupe is not only fast, it’s a work of art with stunning proportions. The elongated front and raked back are sure to make the heads of car connoisseurs around the world turn in admiration.
Making the Ghost Coupe a speedy beauty faster than other Rolls Royce offerings are several factors; the car is a considerably lighter than its sedan cousin weighing an entire 200 kgs less, the car’s roofline is several centimetres lower, and the power has been increased by 69 hp. Further making the car more nimble than others in the Rolls Royce line-up are the lowered chassis, the sports-attuned braking system, the larger tires and the suspension which has been described by some as more “macho and aggressive”.
Unfortunately for Rolls-Royce devotees who want to know more about the car immediately, the car will not be officially presented to the public until next year at the Geneva Motor Show when more information on the vehicle will be made available. Industry insiders have hinted to the media that this speed queen of the fleet will get a new name, and that it will be more expensive than the sedan version, but it will still come in at a lower price than that of the extended-wheelbase sedan.
