The luxury Lexus LFA supercar is a highly addictive feel-good drug but at a MSRP of $375,000, it’s most likely that most of the population will never get the chance to sample the euphoria of driving the LFA.  Further adding to the LFA’s mystique and exclusivity is the automaker’s decision to keep the production limited; only 500 LFA supercars will be manufactured, and at the moment only 46 of the LFA’s are in North America.

Making the LFA so narcotic in nature is not only its unavailability; the sleek design along with the 4.8 liter V10 552 HP engine deliver a zero-to-sixty time of 3.6 seconds and produce a top speed of 202 miles per hour.  With numbers like that, one can almost feel the adrenaline rush just thinking about it.

While the LFA is totally unobtainable for most people, Lexus has announced, to the delight of car lovers everywhere, its annual Golden Opportunity Sales Event which includes the Unleash the LFA sweepstakes.  In this contest, the lucky winner, courtesy of Lexus, will fly out to Salinas, California to attend the Skip Barber Racing School where the personal race-car training will be provided by reigning Grand Am winner Scott Pruett.  While the personal driving tutorial is enough to make racing fans faint with glee, Lexus is also adding a massive, heart-stopping bonus:  the lessons will be behind the wheel of an LFA.

Entering the contest is easy, one simply needs to log on to Facebook, visit the Lexus Facebook page, enter the requested personal info, and spread the link.  The contest ends on August 21, 2012; so while the chances are winning are slim, they are better than if you don’t enter at all.
