German manufacturer Porsche’s luxury mid-size crossover Cayenne has proved to be a performance vehicle among SUVs since 2002, and now an updated and more powerful version is available for Cayenne lovers to fall in love with all over again.
Praised for its powerful engine and excellent handling, the new Turbo S gets a 50-horsepower increase from the Turbo model, to a total of 550 horsepower, and it features highly advanced active chassis technologies, enabling it to outperform a number of high-end sports cars while maintaining ride comfort and off-road capability.
The Cayenne Turbo S is primed to be Porsche’s most powerful SUV yet, and with 533 pound-feet of torque, it’s able to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 4.3 seconds and to reach top speeds of 175 miles per hour. The Turbo S also sports high-tech Sport Chrono package, which includes a digital and analog timer at the center of the dashboard.
Elsewhere on the interior, designers created an ultra-exclusive two-tone leather package, available in black-and-luxor or black-and-carerra red combinations. The rear and front seats boast the Porsche logo embossed on the headsets, and the roof is covered in Alcantara. The door, instrument panel and center console trim are made of carbon fiber.
The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S will be available in 2013 with a price tag of $146,000
